Returning to the Tower
I have been very, very lucky to have much of my work featured on towerofthehand.com over the years. Indeed, more of my work is here than anywhere else. Those in power at the Tower have graciously offered me episode round-up articles, episode analysis articles, theories, essays, the lot. I am forever indebted to the Tower, and its wonderful readers, for having me. The incredibly kind comments are what lead me to keep on writing, to try harder stuff, and of course this website would not be there without them.
Hence, when I was able to return to the Tower this week, it was an absolute joy.
Last year I had been asked to write an analysis for the site’s episode ranking lists. Good fun was had by all.
Now, with the seven episodes of Season Seven, I was asked to analyse where these new episodes fitted in with the rest. As you will see in the article, the Season’s success is not clear-cut, and I try to delve into how the season worked overall and in these individual episodes.
So come join us, not just at a great website, but for a short trip down memory lane as I look at what aspect of each episode earned them their spot, which ones grouped together, what was the worst episode of Season 7? The best? And why, why oh why oh why, the decision to try and capture a wight collapsed these entire rankings down into kindling.
Of course, a thousand thank yous to those at the Tower. I hope to be back soon.
